Sarofim Hall

Sarofim Hall, the larger of the two proscenium theaters located within the Hobby Center, is home to Gexa Energy Broadway Series and Theatre Under The Stars productions.

Specifications:

• Total seating capacity of 2,650 on three levels: Orchestra, Mezzanine (middle balcony) and Gallery (upper balcony).
• Proscenium opening measures 45' wide x 40' high
• Usable stage and wing surface measures 130' wide x 55' deep
• Stage house is equipped with 99 counterweight line sets on 6" centers
• All battens are kept in a "clear" condition between events

Zilkha Hall

Zilkha Hall, the smaller proscenium theater within the Hobby Center, is home to the Uniquely Houston^® programming series.

Specifications:

• Total seating capacity of 500 in the Orchestra and Mezzanine levels
• Proscenium opening measures 38' wide x 24' high
• Usable stage and wing surface measures 68' 6" wide x 37' deep
• Stage house is equipped with 30 counterweight line sets on 12" centers with a basic repertory lighting plot and soft goods installed at all times
• Stage can also be set with a 38' wide x 14' deep acoustical music shell
