The Chevron Houston Marathon & Aramco Houston Half-Marathon is Sunday, January 15, 2017. During this time there will various road closures that may affect your trip to the Hobby Center. Click HERE for a marathon course map. Please plan your trip accordingly.

Marathon & Half Marathon Event – Race Course
Sunday, January 15 (6 am - 1:30 pm, on a rolling schedule): All other streets listed below for the marathon and half marathon are closed on a rolling schedule between 6 am - 1:30 pm under HPD's guidance.

The marathon course consists of Congress, Smith, Franklin, Preston, Washington, Heights/Waugh (southbound side only), West Gray, Inwood, Kirby (northbound side only from Inwood to San Felipe, all lanes from San Felipe to Westheimer, and southbound side only thereafter), Bissonnet, Mandell (southbound side only), Sunset, Rice Blvd., Greenbriar, University Blvd., Weslayan (both sides until Bissonnet, after Bissonnet on northbound side only), Westpark (including a short out-and-back segment west of its intersection with the southbound Loop 610 feeder coming from Post Oak Blvd.), Loop 610 feeder southbound, Post Oak Blvd. (northbound side only), San Felipe (westbound side only), Tanglewood Blvd. (northbound side only), Chimney Rock (northbound side only until Woodway, after Woodway on southbound lanes only), Memorial Dr. (westbound side only until Loop 610, then eastbound side only), the Memorial Dr. median across from S. Picnic Ln (for SETRAC medical tent), Shepherd, Allen Parkway, the new Allen Parkway parking lane on the north side of the street, Dallas, Bagby, Lamar and Avenida de las Americas.

The half marathon course follows the marathon course until Mandell, where it continues east on Bissonnet to Montrose, south to Main, north to Bissonnet, west to Montrose, north to Allen Parkway (westbound side) before rejoining the marathon course on Lamar.

RELATED STREET CLOSURES

Thursday, January 12 (Midnight) - Sunday, January 15 (Midnight): Northbound side of Avenida de las Americas between Polk and Lamar (exclusive of the Polk intersection), Lamar from Avenida de las Americas to LaBranch (exclusive of the LaBranch intersection), and southbound side of Avenida de las Americas between the Discovery Green parking garage entrance and Lamar.

Friday, January 13 (7 am) - Saturday, January 14 (10:30 am): The 1600 block of McKinney between Avenida de las Americas and Crawford.

Friday, January 13 (7 pm) - Sunday, January 15 (noon): San Jacinto from Franklin to Preston and Congress from San Jacinto to Fannin (exclusive of the Fannin and Caroline intersections) shall close continuously.

Saturday, January 14 (5 am - 10:30 am): Avenida de las Americas between Rusk and Lamar (exclusive of the Rusk intersection and inclusive of the Lamar intersection), and the 1500 block of McKinney (between Crawford and LaBranch, exclusive of the LaBranch intersection).

Saturday, January 14 (7 am - 4 pm): Fencing along the 1000-1400 blocks of Lamar (between Main and LaBranch, inclusive of the LaBranch intersection and exclusive of the Main intersection) shall be installed along the curbs in two block segments, with rolling closures under HPD supervision. As install is completed, streets will be reopened to regular vehicular traffic until full closure commences as part of the race course on Sunday morning.

Saturday, January 14 (7 am) - Sunday, January 15 (noon):  Full and continuous closure of the 1100-1300 blocks of Congress (between Austin and Fannin), the 200 and 300 blocks of Caroline (between Franklin and Preston), and the 200 and 300 blocks of Fannin (between Franklin and Preston). Fencing along the 1000-1500 blocks of Congress (between Main and Crawford), the 300-500 blocks of Austin (between Congress and Texas), the 300 and 400 blocks of LaBranch (between Congress and Prairie), and the 300-500 blocks of Crawford (between Congress and Texas) shall be erected in two- to three-block segments during these times with rolling closures under HPD supervision. As install is completed, streets will be reopened to regular vehicular traffic until full closure commences as part of the Start Line on Sunday morning.  All streets listed above comprising the start area shall be fully closed to traffic commencing at 5 am on Sunday and shall reopen upon final removal of all structures at noon (approximately).

Sunday, January 15 (7 am – 2 pm): The 1500 and 1600 blocks of Dallas (between LaBranch and Avenida de las Americas- exclusive of both intersections).

Sunday, January 15 (all hours): The 800-1000 blocks of Avenida de las Americas (between Rusk and Lamar- exclusive of the Rusk intersection and inclusive of the Lamar intersection) and the 1500 and 1600 blocks of McKinney (between LaBranch and Avenida de las Americas).
