APERIO, Music of the Americas presents the North American premiere of Philip Glass' Aguas da Amazonia. Inspired by the Amazon river and its tributaries, the suite explores a vivid mixture of orchestral and percussive textures in Glass' signature style. The composer's Violin Concerto No. 2 An American Four Seasons complements this large-scale work, featuring Chloé Trevor as soloist. Maestro Marlon Chen (MDR Orchestra Leipzig) conducts.
